Welcome to Dairy Discovery
Want to come see what happens behind the scenes at SwissLane Farms? Dairy Discovery does just that. We are the educational arm of SwissLane Farms. We provide a fun and educational experience on the farm for all ages.
As farms continue to disappear, the need for consumers to understand how their food is produced is growing. Dairy Discovery is committed to educating the West Michigan community about the integrity of production practices and benefits of technology use in the dairy industry. The story of dairy is told through exposure to daily life on a large and modern farm-engaging the tourist in interactive and enjoyable experiences at Swisslane Farms.
In 2018, Dairy Discovery became a non-profit organization! Our amazing program depends greatly on the support of our local community. Your generosity will help us to continue educating our community about "The little miracle of milk" along with the everyday miracles that happen in agriculture as a whole.

Special Events
Celebrate with us!
Enjoy a Tour and take part in Seasonal Demonstrations!
From Spring Break Bash to Christmas through Lowell, or celebrating Maple Syrup season at the Sugar Shack, we have special events all year long.

Birthday Parties/ Barn Rental
Celebrate the special day in a dairy big way! For the kids (or adults!) who love Country Living and can't get enough of extra activities Dairy Discovery offers! See the big red barn dressed up and enjoy a dairy snack and fun around the farm.

Camps
Come experience farm life with us! 3-6 year old Cow and Calf Camp in the fall, or Cow camp for 6-14 year old farmers of the future during the summer. Kids have a chance to experience farm life and chores hands on and to bond and care for their own camp cow. They will gain a greater appreciation of how dairy foods go from farm to table.

Meet our staff
It takes a team to run Dairy Discovery and we are truly proud of that team. Get to know us the people who join together to teach about our farm and dairy.
